The GMA Conversion Program is designed for professionals and graduates from any discipline who wish to gain eligibility for the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Preparatory Program.
It also suits those holding an Advanced Diploma in Accounting.
The program includes 4 advanced-level subjects (taught at Honours/Master’s level):
Financial Management
Financial Statement Analysis
Financial Modelling
Managerial Accounting
Applicants must meet one of the following:
A degree in any discipline
A professional qualification (any field)
An Advanced Diploma in Accounting
Minimum 10 years of senior-level experience in accounting or finance
Note:
Candidates with partially completed degrees or professional qualifications can enroll, but the GMA certification will only be awarded upon completion of their full qualification.
Eligible to apply for Graduate Management Accountant (GMA) membership (no experience required)
Can pursue Associate Management Accountant (AMA) membership after:
Completing CMA Preparatory Program or
Having 3 years of relevant experience
Direct enrollment into the Certified Management Accountant (CMA) Program is also available
Students who have completed equivalent subjects at recognized universities or are members of CA, CPA, ACCA, or CIMA may be granted credit for prior learning.
